Fifth Grade Naturalist Field Trip!

Lolo soccer teams played Hellgate in a great game yesterday! Way to go Lynx!

Sixth grade had a special visitor! Specialist James Fry has returned from his deployment from the Middle East! He made a point to visit the students that sent cards and goodie bags as 5th graders. It was fun to see him and ask questions about his deployment.

Check the closets! One month of school and we have over 70 tops, plus pants, water bottles, and a few miscellaneous items. Please check lost and found near the library. We can't hang on to these items forever.

Third Grade kicked off their Family Friday series with some hands on game building. Students created game boards, arcade games, and many other types of creative games. We loved having our families in to help us explore new skills and apply the skills we have mastered in new ways!

Fifth Grade Engineers! Fifth graders designed balloon powered cars. Working on design and problem solving to meet certain criteria was fun!

Sixth grade goes to The Big Hole Battlefield

Nick Mask, a Montana children’s author/illustrator, will be meeting with elementary students this week to talk about his picture book series, Waffles the Adventure Cat.
You can all meet Nick at the library during the evening hours of Wednesday, September 27th, at our Missoula Public Library - Lolo Community Branch from 4-7 PM. He will be here to visit with students and their families from the community and will talk about his experiences as an author/illustrator and answer questions.
He will read a story or two, and will also have autographed books available for purchase!
Stop by for a visit!

Martha Washington stopped by to read us a story about the history of the Constitution.

Third grade had another awesome round of guest readers to brighten up this Thursday morning! We love having our families in to read!

Fifth graders working collaboratively to show understanding of setting, characters, and sequencing.
