The Turkey Reading Challenge is complete! Students did a fantastic job reading at home for the month of November! In the classes that accepted the challenge, thousands of minutes were read at home during the month. Great job kids, parents, and teachers!


Lolo Middle School celebrates the end of the trimester and spirit week with a rousing assembly full of good natured fun and games. What a hoot!




Lolo's 7th and 8th graders have been working on pet portraits during art class and today they were fortunate to be visited by live subjects from The Humane Society of Western Montana. Thanks to Meredith Stewart (HSWM) and art teacher Allie Webb for making the arrangements!




So many THANKS to the Lolo PTSA for coordinating staff supper during parent/teacher conferences tonight. Special thanks to Jen Hickes and all the families who chipped in for the delicious meal. Means so much to us!


Lolo School wants to give a big THANKS to Korrie Butler for her six (or more) years as PTSA President, which compliments over decade with PTSA. Korrie remains a member of PTSA and will help with events and support the school.
Tonight, PTSA welcomed new President Fawn Johnson.



Lolo Middle School honors our nation’s veterans at the fourth annual Veterans Celebration. This year’s program featured student poems, quotes from local vets, and a preview of their upcoming documentary project, Stories That Need to be Told’ which will debut in early 2020. Guest keynote speaker Ellsbeth Richards shared stories of her lifelong connection to the military. The extracurricular choir and 7th/8th band performed beautifully. There was a reception afterwards with class-made treats and fellowship.

Lolo 8th grade math students attended U of M Math Day and participated in a panel discussion on careers. Students with Provost Jon Harbor (Glaciers), Professor Nate McCrady (Astrophysics), Professor Phil Higuera (Fire Science) and Dean of Mathematics Jenny McNulty.
